19-year-old Arrested for Aggravated DUI

Treyvon McKinney was arrested for aggravated DUI. McKinney ran through the stop sign at 14th and Cook Streets and hit a car that was driving through the intersection. There were three people in the car McKinney hit: Danielle Burton and two others. Officials said Burton was ejected from the car and later died from her injuries at HSHS St, John’s Hospital. Danielle was 19 years old at the time. The other two were hospitalized, but they are expected to be ok. Springfield Police are still investigating the crash and Danielle’s death.

We hope Danielle’s family is doing fine and we hope the people who were in the car with her have recovered. This is an example of just how dangerous driving while intoxicated is. Before you hit the road think about how much you drank, and it was too much, get an Uber, a Lyft, or etc.. It’s not worth the risk to drive drunk, but if you have and need a trustworthy risk reduction program A-1 Driving Schools is here for you!
