Spooky Season Driving

Halloween is one of the most fun times of the year, but it can be dangerous. Spooky Season isn’t just scary because of the ghouls and goblins, but also the likelihood of DUIs. Halloween is so dangerous because of two things:

  1. Party Culture: Many adults celebrate with drinks at parties, bars, or haunted events.

  2. Young Drivers: Teenagers and college students, some of whom are new to driving or drinking, are often out late trick-or-treating or attending gatherings.

Sure, attending parties is fun, but there is a safe way to go about getting home. If you have drunk alcohol or taken illegal substances, the last thing you should do is touch a wheel, because it’s not only your life you’re endangering, but all those around you. Even if it’s Halloween, that is not an excuse to drive while under the influence. Stay safe on the roads this Halloween!
