What is Online Driver’s Ed?

Online driver’s education is a modern alternative to traditional classroom-based driver’s ed courses. It allows students to complete the theoretical portion of their driver’s education online, providing flexibility and convenience. In Georgia, the online course covers the same material you would learn in a traditional classroom setting, but you can complete it at your own pace, on your schedule, and from the comfort of your own home.

The online driver’s ed course is typically broken down into modules that cover key topics such as:

  • Traffic laws and road signs
  • Safe driving techniques
  • Defensive driving
  • Understanding the risks of impaired and distracted driving
  • Basic vehicle maintenance

Once you’ve completed the online coursework, you’ll still need to complete behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor, as required by Georgia state law.
