Do you know how to park at an angle? If not follow the steps below to stay as safe as possible!
Remember the following steps:
1. Find a parking spot that has at least 4 feet of space on each side. If the spot is too tight, you won’t be able to open your car doors, and it increases the risk of other car doors hitting yours.
2. When parking at an angle, drive slowly and enter the spot at an angle. Slowly edge forward until your car is correctly positioned within the white lines.
3. Align the car in the parking spot: When parking, align your car so it is straight in the parking spot. This will make it easier for you to move out later. If you align the car before moving out, the cars around you may have changed, leaving you with less space to maneuver.
4. Open the car doors carefully: When leaving your vehicle, be extra careful not to slam the doors into the cars on the sides, as it can be costly.
