A man convicted of two murders and released from prison earlier this year has been arrested. Pearl police and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that James Williams was arrested for DUI Friday evening in Pearl in front of a business on Highway 80. According to officials, Williams wrecked his car in a ditch. Williams was convicted of murdering his dad and stepmom back in 2002. “As prescribed by law, parolee James Reynolds Williams was taken back into custody by MDOC agents after his arrest by Pearl Police on a DUI charge,” according to MDOC Commissioner Burl Cain. “That is a parole violation charge by Mississippi statute. MDOC will generate a Parole Revocation Package to be reviewed and ruled upon by the State Parole Board.”
We hope Williams gets the treatment he needs so that any of the loved ones of his parents feel better about their deaths.
